The complete pet boarding checklist for Dubai owners

Template page — this is the blog-post layout every article will use. Sample content below shows real structure: intro, sections, callout, checklist, author box and related posts.

Leaving your pet for the first time is harder for you than for them — if you prepare well. This checklist is the exact list our boarding team wishes every owner had, and it starts earlier than most people think.

Two weeks before: paperwork and health

Every reputable boarding facility in Dubai — ours included — will ask for a current vaccination record. Check yours now, not the night before: if a booster is due, your vet needs time to fit you in.

A vaccination check isn't red tape. It's what protects every pet in the building — including yours.

What to pack

  • Their usual food, portioned or labelled — sudden diet changes upset stomachs.
  • Medication with written dosage times.
  • One item that smells like home — a worn t-shirt beats an expensive toy.
  • Your travel contacts and a local backup person.

What to ask any facility

Ask how often spaces are cleaned, what happens in a medical emergency, and whether dogs and cats are housed separately. If the answers are vague — or you're not welcome to look around — keep looking. (Our answers: daily disinfection, vet on site, and yes, separate cattery. Come see.)
